Development Office

Domestic Bursar’s Office

The Domestic Bursar is on Staircase V.

Gardens

The gardeners look after the Front and Garden Quads in the main Broad Street site, and the gardens at Holywell Manor, Jowett Walk and other College sites.

Hall, SCR and Buttery

The Front of House team runs the Hall, Senior Common Room and Buttery, as well as all catered events in College. The Buttery is underneath the Hall in the Garden Quad; Buttery opening times are here.

Health and Welfare

For details about those who can help people in College who need advice, and details of the Nurse’s clinic times, see Wellbeing and Welfare. The Junior Deans, listed here, are also part of the welfare team. 

Holywell Manor (Graduate Centre)

Housekeeping

The Broad Street Housekeeping department is on the first floor of Staircase XIV. The Head Housekeeper for Holywell Manor, Jowett Walk and A Block is based at Holywell Manor.

ICT Department

The ICT department is in the basement of Staircase XI. If you require ICT help, please email helpdesk@​balliol.​ox.​ac.​uk.

Kitchen

The Kitchen is underneath the Hall.

Library and Archives

The Library is accessed from stairs leading from the Library Passage, between the two quads. The Archives are in Balliol’s Historic Collections Centre in St Cross Road. For details about where to direct enquiries, see this page. The Library web pages are here.

Maintenance
