College Magazine

Floreat Domus is the College magazine, which contains news and features from the Balliol community. In this edition you’ll find highlights of College news, including awards, the completion of the Master’s Field Project, and the Balliol and Empire project; features on research and a Library exhibition; and stories of Balliol alumni in different walks of life - including the Commisioner for Commercial and Common Law at the Law Commission and an alumnus whose start-up company has transformed local retail and been bought by Google - as well as a special feature on PPE alumni reflecting on the pandemic.

The magazine takes its title from Balliol’s motto, Floreat Domus de Balliolo, which means ‘May the house of Balliol flourish’.

In News and Notes, a supplement to Floreat Domus, Balliol Old Members from around the world share their news.
