Issue 2 of Inscription: the Journal of Material Text, edited by Balliol Fellow in English Professor Adam Smyth, with Gill Partington (Exeter) and Simon Morris (Leeds Beckett), will be published in October 2021. It’s all about holes! It features academic articles and art works on the relationship between books and holes by Deidre Lynch, Miranda July, Fiona Banner, Heather Wolfe, Erica Baum, Harold Offeh, Kendell Geers, James Misson, Christian Bök, and lots of others.
To celebrate the launch, there is a small exhibition at No Show Space, 39 Temple Street, London E2 6QQ: ‘Holy, Holy, Holy: an exhibition of books with holes’, Wednesday 6 October to Saturday 30 October, Wednesday to Saturdays, 12.00–6.00pm.
