Research interests: Gaurav’s research focuses on understanding the process of normal blood production, and how this goes awry in blood cancers such as leukaemia and myeloma. He leverages population genomics to: I) identify genetic variants that put an individual at risk of a blood disorder; II) experimentally study their effect on normal stem cell function to suggest new therapeutic targets; III) use these insights to improve genetic risk prediction in the clinic.
