- Core subject area: Cancer genetics. Lisa’s major clinical interests are breast cancer genetics, and she has additional research interests in endocrine and skin cancer genetics.
- Teaching: Lisa completed her research training with Professor Adrian Harris in the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, before embarking upon medical school. She is a practising clinician, and following training at UCL, Great Ormond Street and Cambridge, is now a consultant in clinical genetics at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford. She is Head of Cancer Genetics for the Oxford Regional Genetics Service, covering a population of 3.5 million. She also holds an Honorary Consultant contract at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London.
- Research interests: Lisa has a major interest in medical education, and has been extensively involved in medical student teaching throughout the University, achieving an Oxford University Medical School Teaching Excellence Award.
As Tutor for Undergraduate Admissions, Dr Walker oversees all the College’s undergraduate admissions activity.
