The Balliol Interdisciplinary Institute awards grants for research proposals which:
- include contributions from more than one discipline;
- have high potential impact;
- include at least one Balliol graduate student, lecturer, or Fellow as a principal investigator.
It especially welcomes research proposals that may be considered radical or speculative in their aims or methodology.
Any Balliol graduate student may apply. All projects must be led by a Balliol member.
Up to £3,000 per project.
Applications are reviewed once each term by the Balliol Research Committee. The next date for applications and an application form are posted here.
