Balliol is home to students of many different faiths. See the worship page for more information. All members of College, undergraduate and graduate, are welcome to participate in Chapel. Members of the public are also welcome to attend services in Chapel.
Everyone is encouraged to come forward to the altar rail for a blessing during communion, or, if a baptised Christian, to receive communion. Any member of College wishing to prepare for baptism and/or confirmation should contact the Chaplain as soon as possible.

Activities
There is a Chapel Choir, and anyone interested in joining should contact the Organ Scholar in his room (Staircase 1).
A discussion group meets every Thursday in term from 1– 2pm in Staircase XXI, Room 8. Lunch is provided. A wide range of topics is discussed and the group is open to everyone in College. Please see Marvin Gourard or Sophie Tomlinson for more information.
The Christian Union meets weekly for Bible study, worship, prayer, and support. Please contact Anna Comboni or Dominic Bisset for details.
The Oxford Society for Law and Religion meets in Balliol in Lecture Room XXIII at 5.00pm on Thursdays in term. Please contact Peter Petkoff for details, or consult the Chaplain’s notice board in the Lodge.
Services for Trinity Term 2012
On Tuesdays in weeks 1 to 8 informal evening prayers are held in Chapel at 6.00pm. Everyone is welcome.
On Ascension Day, Thursday 17 May, the Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8.00am in Chapel, followed by breakfast in the OCR.
The termly Roman Catholic Mass will be held on Monday 21 May (5th week) at 6pm in Chapel. Please contact Ella Robertson or Henrich von Jagwitz-Biegnitz for further information.
This term the Chapel collections will be given to support Jacari, a student-run charity providing home tutoring for children aged 4-16 who don't speak English as their first language.
All baptised Christians are welcome to receive communion in College Chapel.
Members of the public are welcome to attend services in Chapel.
