The Junior Deans support the welfare and decanal systems of the College, working across the three accommodation sites under the guidance of the Wellbeing and Welfare Lead and other College Officers. They maintain the welfare and wellbeing of Balliol’s students, ensure the necessary levels of health and safety standards, and assist the Dean in administering the College rules. Working together but in either undergraduate- or graduating- facing roles, they are available to help with any problems. They offer a caring ear and can signpost students to appropriate support.
They are on duty, on site, between 7.00pm and 8.00am, and work with the relevant Lodge to help with emergencies.
The following Junior Deans are Mental Health First Aiders: Alex Russell, Konrad Ksiazek and Tafadzwa Kufazvinei.
