Congratulations (belatedly) to the Balliol karting team, who won Cuppers 2017.
Team member James Lambton writes:
‘The event was held at Whilton Mill near Northampton, a 1,200m outdoor floodlit circuit, on Friday 3 March. The race took the format of a two-hour endurance race in teams of four (the Balliol team consisted of me, University karting captain Callum Hughes, Cory Smith, and Ben Simon), with a total of 18 teams competing. It rained heavily for much of the evening, making driving conditions very difficult; however the experience of the Balliol team shone through. We took victory by two laps over Trinity, having raced closely with them for much of the race, and were crowned Cuppers champions for the fourth year running! Magdalen rounded out the podium for 3rd.’
