Shirin Homann (Balliol 1990) has marked the 40th anniversary of the admission of women to Balliol as students with ‘re mark able women: visualising the presence of female knowledge’, an art intervention in the Library. The first to view it were alumnae attending the ‘Balliol Women: 40 Years On’ celebration weekend of 27-29 September 2019.

Monday 7 October

On 29 September 2019 as part of the ‘Balliol Women: 40 Years On’ celebration weekend Balliol alumnae joined current members of the Balliol College Boat Club at the river for coffee/Buck’s fizz and rowing.

The Martin and Dellal buildings which were part of Balliol’s Graduate Centre have been demolished, allowing BAM Construction to begin preparing the northern end of the Master’s Field development site for the new accommodation blocks that are to be built there.
