Mariana Voices Presents: Chiaroscuro

9 February 2018, 8.00pm
Balliol Chapel

Inspired by the works of da Vinci and Caravaggio, ‘Mariana Voices Presents: Chiaroscuro’ will explore the ways in which composers have represented the unique interaction between darkness and light through music. Under the guidance of John Lee, Sarah Hughes, and Freddie Crowley, the group, comprising some of Oxford University’s most talented singers, will perform:

  • Selig sind die Toten - Schutz
  • Te lucis ante terminum - Mair
  • Mass for double choir - Martin
  • Christus factus est - Bruckner
  • Ubi Caritas - Durufle
  • The Lord is my Shepherd - Lee
  • Pater Noster - Pamintuan

Open to all.
