Diana Berruezo-Sánchez (Career Development Fellow in Modern Languages), ‘The Literary Legacy of Black Slaves in Early Modern Spain’

The Brunch this week will be given by Dr Berruezo-Sánchez, who will give an insight into her recent research into the musical and literary heritage of black slaves in Early Modern Spain, and discuss the new questions her research has raised.

A researcher of Spanish Golden Age Playwrights, Dr Berruezo-Sánchez’s principal academic interest is the representation and production of Golden Age minority populations. She also investigates the ways in which texts circulate beyond national borders to form literary traditions.
