Dr Nuno Faria
Dr Faria is a Sir Henry Dale Research Fellow at Oxford’s Department of Zoology.
- Academic subject(s): Evolution and ecology of infectious diseases
- Core subject area: Virus evolution, outbreak surveillance and genomic epidemiology
- Teaching: Undergraduate (BA Biology), and graduate (MSc International Health and Tropical Medicine).
- Research interests: Evolutionary dynamics of viral pathogens, with particular emphasis on the integration of real-time genomic, ecological, and mobility data; evolution and spread of emergent infectious diseases, such as zika, yellow fever, ebola and HIV; field epidemiology of mosquito-borne viruses, in particular in Angola and Brazil.
