TeachFirst Awards

In a partnership between Balliol and TeachFirst, a registered charity which recruits and trains highly talented graduates to teach in tough schools, these bursaries can be made to past or present undergraduates or graduates of Balliol who have a place on the TeachFirst training programme, to assist with potential relocation costs, travel costs and living costs during the Summer Institute and the first month of the Teach First Leadership Development Programme.

Past or present undergraduates or graduates of Balliol who have a place on the TeachFirst training programme.

Amount awarded

£1,000. Payment will be made once you take up the TeachFirst summer training. Please contact the Student Finance Officer, who will arrange payment.

How and when to apply

Students who wish to be considered should put their names forward to the Student Finance Officer by email once they have been accepted on to the programme.

The money for this bursary is drawn from the Wilson-Wilson Trust (1929), which has as its object the education of those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
