Balliol has taken students in Mathematics and Philosophy every year since the course started. It has established a strong reputation in both Mathematics and Philosophy and Physics and Philosophy.
Balliol has a constant intake of Mathematics and Philosophy students which means that there will be people to advise you on the contents of the course in the years above as well as another person on the same course in your year.
Balliol tutors in both Mathematics and Philosophy recognize the special requirements of this joint course and work together to organize the teaching to best fit the structure of the course. With a great number of fellows and lecturers in both subjects, Balliol guarantees good teaching and caters for a large number of options.
