Open Days

University of Oxford Open Days

The 2024 Open Days will take place on Wednesday 26, Thursday 27 June, and Friday 20 September. Each day will have a similar timetable. During the afternoon, our tutors will be providing talks or drop-in sessions for you to find out about different courses. You can find the timetable for one of the 2023 Open Days at Balliol here as an example. More information about the University Open Days more widely is available on the University website.

Open Days are the perfect opportunity for prospective undergraduate students to get a feel for Balliol and to meet our tutors and students. They are designed to give you information about the College and the wider University, helping you to make a choice of where to study and which course to choose.

At the Open Days, Balliol undergraduates will be available to answer general questions about student life. The Undergraduate Tutor for Admissions will be available to answer general admissions questions. Subject tutors will be available for Q&A sessions.

You can find out more about the upcoming Open Days and other admissions information by signing up to the Oxford University Newsletter.

Prospective graduate students

All Open Day events, including subject talks, are focused on undergraduate admissions, not graduate study: there is no formal opportunity for prospective graduate students to meet tutors or discuss admissions. Whilst graduate students are welcome to attend to look around the College main site on Open Days, Holywell Manor (our graduate centre) will be closed. If you are a prospective graduate student there is comprehensive information on life at Balliol (including a virtual tour of Holywell Manor) available here and if you have any queries we recommend you contact the Graduate Administrator.
