College Requirements
We normally require A-Level candidates to obtain A grades in Mathematics, Physics, and in at least one further subject. Candidates taking other examinations are required to obtain correspondingly high grades in subjects that include Mathematics and Physics.

Engineering, Economics and Management at Balliol
Engineering and Economics have been taught at Balliol for many years, and the College pioneered the introduction of Management Studies at Oxford. These days Balliol is the largest Oxford college in terms of the number of students studying the component areas of the EEM course: Engineering, Economics, and Management. The teaching benefits from an unusually large number of Tutorial Fellows in the relevant areas: there are three Fellows in Engineering, two in Economics and one in Management Studies (see below).

Professor Paul Buckley teaches materials, structures and maths, and has research interests in materials engineering. |

She has done research on Psychological contracts in not-for-profit Organisations and has developed case studies on international humanitarian aid organisations including International Red Cross, Marie Stopes International and Sense International. |
