Adam Nahum is an alumnus of Balliol College, having completed his MPhysPhil here in 2006 and subsequently his DPhil in 2013. Much of his academic career so far has been spent in the USA, where he obtained an MS in Physics from Chicago and, most recently, has been a postdoctoral associate, and then Fellow, at MIT.  

Adam’s research is in theoretical condensed matter physics and concerns fundamental questions about quantum dynamics out of equilibrium, quantum phase transitions, topological phases of matter, and disordered systems.
