4. How we make decisions

  • Decision making processes and records of decisions

‘We would expect minutes of meetings where key decisions are made about the operation of the university, excluding material that is properly considered to be private, to be readily available to the public.’

  • Policy proposals and decisions. Decision-making processes, internal criteria and procedures, consultations.

¨ Minutes of meetings – the ICO will expect at least some minutes to be made available. The minimum requirement is to publish the minutes of meetings where key decisions are made; this does not apply to information that is otherwise exempt. Colleges will need to consider which of their meetings fit into this category.
