There is a reciprocal arrangement between Balliol College and its sister college in Cambridge, St John's, whereby junior members from either college are permitted the use of a guest room in the other college for a fee.
Applying for a guest room in Balliol College, Oxford
Please contact the Head Porter well in advance of your planned visit if you wish to apply for a guest room. Guest rooms are usually available only during full term, and not for more than three nights.
Food
If necessary, a member of the JCR Committee can take a visitor into Hall and supply any information required. Breakfast will be available in the JCR Pantry and lunch and dinner will be available in the JCR Pantry or in Hall. You will need to pay for all your meals in cash.
Payment
St John’s College students will be expected to pay for their accommodation when they collect their key at Balliol College Porters' Lodge.
