Winkelman Etchings
Baruch Blumberg commissioned a suite of four colour etchings of Balliol College to mark his retirement as Master. The four etchings were drawn by Joseph Winkelman, past President of the Royal Society of Painters-Printmaker and show:
- the view of Balliol from Broad Street (sorry, sold out)
- the entrance to Hollywell Manor
- the interior of Balliol's Hall (sorry, sold out)
- and the King's Mound, the Master's lodgings in Mansfield Road
Each one measures approximately 7 x 10 inches and is hand printed with colour inks on 12 x 15 sheets of museum quality rag paper. They are all numbered and signed by the artist in limited editions of 250 impressions each.
You are welcome to come and view them in the Development Office on Staircase XIII if ever you are in Oxford. Each print costs £85. You can order one or more from the Development Office by telephoning 01865 277690. Please note that there will be a small additional charge for postage.
Balliol College: A History
Used copies of old editions of this full length history (1988 and 1997) are currently advertised on the internet at £30-£50 (plus p&p) and new copies of the 1997 edition at £75-£100 (plus p&p).

Contemporary Watercolours
Balliol College is delighted to support the limited edition of two prints of our College, taken from original watercolours by John Doyle. He is a member if the Royal Watercolour Society and has exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
John has produced two delightful pictures of the College, the Library buildings in the Front Quad and the Garden Quad seen from the Hall. A limited edition of both prints has been made, and you may like to buy one or both to remind you of your time here. At the same time you would be helping the College, which will receive a donation from Contemporary Watercolours for each print sold.

Balliol Poetry

Sir Anthony Kenny, former Master of Balliol, and Seamus Perry, Tutor in English, have compiled a new anthology, Balliol Poetry, featuring verse written by Balliol students, both famous and obscure, either while they were in residence or in later life recollecting their Oxford days. The book is beautifully illustrated with pictures and objects from the College’s collections, and handsomely bound in cloth. The book is on sale from the College at £12.95 plus £4 UK postage and packaging.
